Another Birthday

Captain Clyde's 60th birthday.  Sooo much fun.  Lots of people, surprises....their son Brian came home from Shanghai for it, and an amazing present....a restored sailboat with all the bells and whistles!


When Brian had to leave for Shanghai last year, that left lone-ranger (Bonny) to do the restoration work.  She did her usual...absolutely amazing job of it.  It turned out beeeeautiful.



There was lots of good food, and laughter.  Bonny's family is very musical, and there was fun jamming going on.  It had been probably 20 years  or more since I had seen some of them.  Yes, you read correctly.....We have friends, Bonny and Clyde....and they're the funnest gang around!

Lilly's Fireflower



She saw a FireFlower pillow (on Pinterest I think), and saved it to her picture file.  She wanted to make one for her friend, Lilly's, birthday.  The simple shapes, using fleece, and being able to have raw edges, made it a good first sewing machine project.

Summer 2012

Things have been so busy lately; it's been hard to find the time to deal with my blogging photo issues.
Since "a picture is worth a thousand words", I've been......speechless.  Sarah got me connected to photobucket...so maybe we're on a roll again.  There have been ball-games - everything from t-ball to farm league, baby showers, birthday parties, yard work, baking, cleaning, sewing, hospital visitations, Church, Sunday School teaching rotation, barbeques, ........ I'll be playing a bit of catch up on posts.  I miss documenting our days on here....when I don't blog them....they just seem a foggy blur.
