Playing the Oregon Trail Game at school, learning about pioneer life, Big Sister was wanting to make butter. We put heavy whipping cream into pint jars, and went to shakin'!

Shake little Sister,

Shake!
We've got butter!

We drained the buttermilk off in a strainer.

Then washed the butter in cold water, til it was cool and clear.

Oh, I did this a while back with the boys- I should do it now that they are older! Yours turned out much bigger and cuter than ours as I recall. I think it was enough for like A slice of toast. :)
